Gold Coast police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate an 80-year-old woman who failed to return from walking her dog at Broadbeach Waters this morning (Wednesday, September 21).
Lydia Isaeva, visiting Australia from Russia, has only been on the Gold Coast for about a week and was last seen on Flamingo Key, Broadbeach Waters around 11.30am walking a small white dog.
Police and family hold concerns for her safety and well being with police asking property owners to check their yards, sheds and gardens.
Police are conducting searches and it is anticipated that Polair will conduct flyovers of the area making announcements via their PA system.
Ms Isaeva, speaks little English and has a medical condition and is considered frail.
She is described as Caucasian, approximately 150cms tall with a proportionate build, short grey hair and usually wears brown glasses. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, full length dark pants with a thin white stripe and white sandals with a gold ring on the top of them.
Anyone who spots Ms Isaeva is asked to immediately contact police.
