Urgent Tree Removal Corner Bentinck And Cherry St

Ballina Shire Council has identified a mature Eucalyptus tree to be urgently removed from the corner of Cherry St and Bentinck Street due to storm and wind damage causing unacceptable safety risks.

Removal works will be undertaken on Thursday 3 October from 6.30am and are expected to take the full day to complete.

To safely remove the trees, Council will be closing Bentinck street between Jarret Lane and Cherry Street. From Fox Street intersection, a section of the south bound lane on Cherry Street will also be closed. Only emergency vehicles will have access to exit south on Cherry St during this time.

Traffic control will be in place during this time and motorists and pedestrians are requested to comply with changed traffic conditions and safety signs during these works. Local residents will be assisted with access by traffic control.
