USA Pavilion Unveiled at Expo 2025 Osaka

Department of State

The United States officially opened the USA Pavilion today at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, offering an iconic visual representation of American innovation, excellence, and leadership in the Indo-Pacific. World Expos or "Expos," also known in the United States as World's Fairs, represent historic opportunities to highlight American enterprise, innovation, and global leadership. The six-month Expo 2025 Osaka, the largest public and economic diplomacy event in the Indo-Pacific region in recent memory, presents a strategic opportunity to advance U.S. interests and showcase American excellence across a broad range of sectors.

The USA Pavilion, designed by Louisiana-based Trahan Architects, is a showcase of American excellence. The Pavilion sits in a prime location just inside the Expo site's main East Gate entrance, within direct line of sight of visitors traveling from the nearby Yumeshima Station metro station. The USA Pavilion features an open-air courtyard with a large performance stage where musicians, dancers, and artists from across the United States will provide inspiration, entertainment, and a sampling of American culture to millions of visitors from Japan and around the world. The Pavilion grounds also include an American garden featuring flora native to the United States.

Inside the Pavilion, visitors are guided through five immersive exhibits that highlight American leadership in technology, space exploration, education, culture, and innovation. An animated, virtual mascot, Spark, and a team of American Youth Ambassadors, representing 45 states and speaking more than 20 languages, help bring the Pavilion to life. The Pavilion also includes spaces for private events and a full-service public restaurant offering authentic American cuisine under the direction of an American executive chef.

The United States will celebrate its official National Day at Expo 2025 on July 19, featuring an official delegation and a full day of cultural programming and business engagement. Please feel free to use the images and video found at this flickr link in your reporting.
