USAID Administrator Samantha Power Meets Ukrainian Finance Minister Marchenko

Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko to discuss how USAID will continue to support Ukraine's immediate needs in the wake of Russia's full-scale invasion, and contribute to Ukraine's long-term recovery and growth. The Administrator reiterated that USAID will support Ukraine's work to rebuild critical infrastructure and advance progress on good governance, rule of law, anti-corruption measures, as well as facilitate private sector engagement, and access to finance in Ukraine.

As of June 27, 2023, the U.S. government has provided a total of $18 billion for direct budget support to the Government of Ukraine through the World Bank.
