Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Ahmed Hussen, Canada's Minister for International Development and Global Affairs. The two discussed how the United States and Canada are responding to Hamas' brutal terrorist attack against Israel and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Administrator Power detailed U.S. efforts to facilitate the provision of life-saving assistance including food, water, and medicine to Palestinians in Gaza. Administrator Power and Minister Hussen also discussed collaboration between the U.S. and Canada on a range of shared goals, including addressing global food security challenges and supporting humanitarian and development needs in Ukraine.
