USAID Chief Power Visits Dominican Republic

Administrator Samantha Power travels to the Dominican Republic from August 6 - 8. During her visit, the Administrator will meet with Dominican President Luis Abinader, youth and women leaders, and members of the private sector to discuss how the partnership between the United States and the Dominican Republic is helping advance inclusive economic growth, key governance and reform priorities, and other efforts helping democracy deliver for the Dominican people.

While in Santo Domingo, Administrator Power will announce that, working with Congress, USAID will provide over $45 million in funding this year to the Dominican Republic to address key areas including economic growth, democracy and human rights, climate adaptation and disaster readiness, basic education, and global health security.
