Chief Climate Officer Gillian Caldwell will travel to Baku, Azerbaijan on November 12-22 to lead the USAID delegation to the 29th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
While at COP29, Chief Climate Officer Caldwell and other USAID officials will discuss progress on the President's Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience (PREPARE) , collaborations with the private sector to mobilize climate finance, and efforts to support clean energy investments, more resilient food systems, and locally led solutions to climate change.
