Today, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Ukraine's Minister of Energy German Galushchenko. During the meeting, Deputy Administrator Coleman reaffirmed USAID's continued commitment to helping Ukraine cope with the destructive consequences of Russia's aggression. They discussed Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy grid and preparations for the Ukrainian power system to provide essential electricity and heat through the winter. Deputy Administrator Coleman also conveyed USAID support for the transformation of Ukraine's energy sector into a competitive, market-based system interconnected with Europe.
