Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Kate Forbes, the newly-elected President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), to reaffirm the Agency's partnership and shared vision on humanitarian and development priorities, including global health, localization, and climate change.
Administrator Power recognized IFRC's progress in uplifting local communities in its humanitarian and global health work. They also discussed the ways in which both USAID and IFRC are responding to climate change, including efforts to expand early warning systems.
