Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Karan Bhatia, Global Head for Government Affairs & Public Policy at Google, to discuss USAID and Google's work to advance critical global development priorities. Administrator Power and Mr. Bhatia spoke about Google's support for Ukraine, including its contributions to the groundbreaking Diia platform that has helped provide a range of Ukrainian government services to millions of Ukrainians. Mr. Bhatia highlighted the growth of Google's digital skilling programs in Ukraine, and Administrator Power and Mr. Bhatia discussed opportunities for expanding digital workforce development programs globally. The Administrator and Mr. Bhatia also discussed the global development implications of advances in artificial intelligence and USAID's commitment to working with partners in support of developing responsible AI.
