USAID's Samantha Power Plans Ecuador Trip

Administrator Samantha Power will travel to Quito and Tababela, Ecuador this week to build on the strong bilateral relationship between the United States and Ecuador. The Administrator will reaffirm the United States' commitment to partnering with the Ecuadorian people on key shared priorities and working together to demonstrate that democracy delivers tangible results and inclusive economic prosperity for citizens and communities.

While in Ecuador, the Administrator will meet with senior Ecuadorian government officials, including President Guillermo Lasso, President-elect Daniel Noboa, and Quito Mayor Pabel Muñoz. Administrator Power will meet with the Indigenous community, members of civil society, young people and the USAID and State Department teams. She will announce new investments by the United States that will strengthen citizen security, expand private sector partnerships with small-scale farmers, and improve public services for marginalized communities.
