A local man has been arrested after crashing his car into the front bar of an outback pub last night, according to SA Police.
It will be alleged the 26-year-old Oodnadatta man was doing a burnout, lost control and crashed into the front bar of the Oodnadatta Transcontinental Hotel, causing substantial damage.
Luckily, the driver and several patrons inside the pub at the time received only minor injuries.
The driver was arrested and charged with misuse of a motor vehicle, drive in a reckless or dangerous manner, endanger life and property damage.
He was refused police bail and will face court today.
Crime scene investigators will attend the scene today. The investigation is continuing and police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or took mobile phone footage to contact local Oodnadatta or Coober Pedy police as soon as possible.
