Police have charged two men with alleged property crime and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle offences that occurred across Brisbane and the Darling Downs on Sunday, May 19.
It will be alleged two men stole a black Ford Ranger from an address in Teneriffe, overnight on May 18-19.
In the hours that followed, the car was allegedly seen driving dangerously, including at speed and on the wrong side of the road, across multiple Brisbane suburbs.
Around midday, police attended a carpark in Wedd Street in Spring Hill, where the driver of the Ranger has then allegedly driven dangerously at the police vehicle, crashing into the car, before leaving the scene.
The two male officers in the police car were uninjured in the incident.
Police further allege the men stole fuel from petrol stations on Oxford Street in Bulimba and Bridge Street in Newtown, before the vehicle stopped again at a service station on Mary and Bridge Street around 5.15pm, where the two men were taken into custody.
During this time, the 32-year-old man allegedly resisted arrest by kicking and punching a police officer.
A 32-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with multiple offences, including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and serious assault of an officer.
A 19-year-old East Ipswich man has been charged with multiple offences, including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence, and obstruct police officer.
Police bail was denied for both men, and they are expected to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 20.
