UUMV Charges, Kallangur

Police have charged two teenagers following an incident in Kallangur last night, April 7.

It is alleged around 11.45pm, police were called to reports a 38-year-old Newstead man had been assaulted and had his motorbike stolen.

The man sustained a minor wound to his underarm.

Police responded in minutes and arrested a 15-year-old teenage boy.

Shortly after officers located and arrested a second boy aged 17.

Police arrest in Kallangur

A 15-year-old Mareeba boy was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is expected to appear before the Pine Rivers Children's Court on April 14.

A 17-year-old Kallangur boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
