Two men and a woman in their 20s have been arrested in relation to multiple alleged property offences, after police tracked a stolen vehicle between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast on October 22.
Officers first became aware of the stolen Nissan Patrol station wagon around 3.30pm, as it was travelling in the Upper Kedron area, with allegations one person in the vehicle was armed with a knife.
The vehicle was tracked by Polair travelling north allegedly at speed towards the Sunshine Coast, before a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed in Cooroy.
The Nissan stopped a short time later near the Bruce Highway in Cooroy and two passengers, a man and woman fled into bushland, before being arrested nearby.
The vehicle kept travelling north into Federal before it came to a stop in bushland near the Old Bruce Highway.
The male driver left the scene on foot, before being arrested nearby about 5.40pm.
After the vehicle stopped, it caught fire and caused a subsequent grass fire, which was extinguished by emergency crews.
The Nissan was originally stolen from an address at Murarrie earlier that afternoon.
Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information that can assist, is urged to contact police.
