UW Board of Trustees to Meet July 14-16 in Torrington

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will hear proposals for academic restructuring, new initiatives and budget reductions/reallocations during a meeting Wednesday through Friday, July 14-16, in Torrington.

Remarks by Gov. Mark Gordon also are on the agenda for the board during its traditional once-a-year, off-campus meeting.

Most of the meeting will take place in the boardroom of the Goshen County School District 1 Central Administration Building. The board also is scheduled to tour UW's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Lingle and Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington.

UW Board of Trustees meetings are open to the public, except for executive sessions. Most public sessions will be livestreamed via UW's WyoCast system and YouTube at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/trusteesjuly.

Wednesday's public session is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.; Thursday's at 10 a.m.; and Friday's at 8 a.m. The governor is scheduled to speak at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Public testimony will be accepted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Those wishing to offer verbal testimony should go to www.uwyo.edu/trustees/public-comment/web_form.html to fill out the web form. The deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 13.
