Police have located a vehicle following a hit-run in Footscray yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the intersection of Barkly Street and Droop Street following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car whilst crossing the road about 3pm.
It is believed the driver of the Audi drove through a red light before hitting the man and fleeing the scene.
A 46-year-old Maribyrnong man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The unoccupied 2023 Audi Q3 silver wagon was located on Joseph Road, Footscray this morning at 1.30am.
The Audi had sustained significant damage to the front windscreen.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
