Police are seeking public assistance to locate a man who threatened a woman and stole her car in Gympie this afternoon.
Just before 4.30pm, the 31-year-old Gympie woman had returned to her parked car in Young Street. A man approached the car and opened the driver's door before threatening the woman with a knife, demanding the car.
The woman complied and was able to tell her three children to also get out of the car.
The man drove off in the white Isuzu MU-X with Queensland registration BEC263 and remains outstanding.
The man is described as Caucasian, early 20's, sandy blonde hair and was wearing a cap, light-coloured jumper, denim shorts with rips, red shoes and large sunglasses.
Anyone who has further information or has relevant dashcam vision showing the white Isuzu MU-X is urged to contact police.
The woman and children were not physically injured during the incident.
