- WA's thriving innovation ecosystem will be showcased to more than 100 venture capital investors
- The event brings together venture capital leaders, industry innovators, and ecosystem partners
The Cook Government will bring Venture Downunder to Western Australia for the first time this August, supporting the growth of the local venture capital ecosystem and showcasing the State's innovation investment opportunities.
Venture Downunder, now in its eighth year, is set to bring more than 100 venture capital investors from across Australia and New Zealand to WA for the flagship event.
The premier venture capitalevent is designed to promote in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing to build relationships that translate into real investment and growth into WA startups and the local economy.
Last year the Cook Government announced a $45 million investment into venture capital firms through the WA Venture Capital (WAVC) initiative. The investment is set to lead to over $150 million being invested into local startups.
The initiative continues to help companies secure capital in WA as well as attract companies to base themselves in the State.
Venture Downunder will be held in the Swan Valley region over 5-8 August 2025.
