Venues of concern in Murrumburrah Harden

A person who has tested positive to COVID-19 stayed in Murrumburrah Harden overnight on 3-4 September while potentially infectious.

The person is an essential worker who undergoes regular routine testing. They are now isolating outside of the MLHD.

All close and casual contacts at the accommodation venue, The Light Horse Hotel, have been identified and notified.

Contact tracing has identified two additional venues in Harden visited by the person. Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a casual contact who must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. Please continue to monitor for symptoms and immediately get tested and isolate if they develop:

  • Harden IGA 45 Neil Street Friday 3 September 4.45pm – 5.15pm
  • Harden South West Fuel 294 Albury Street Saturday 4 September 6.10am – 6.45am

SMS messages will be sent to people who were at the venues at these times and checked in with a QR code.

MLHD is also asking anyone in Murrumburrah Harden, or who has been in these communities recently, to get tested if they have even the mildest of symptoms, and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of taste or smell. Other symptoms include fatigue, acute blocked nose (congestion), muscle pain, joint pain, headache, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, unexplained chest pain and conjunctivitis.

MLHD will deploy a mobile COVID-19 Testing Clinic to enable anyone who is a casual contact, or any community member who has symptoms or is concerned, to come forward for testing.

Harden Murrumburrah Harden MPS (Hospital) Monday 6 September 12.00pm – 4.00pm and Tuesday 7 September 10.00pm – 4.00pm. No appointment necessary.

Young District Hospital Monday 6 September 12.00pm – 4.00pm and Tuesday 7 September 10.00am – 2.00pm. No appointment neccessary.
