Cricket Victoria has named its Men's and Women's squads set to compete at the National Indigenous Cricket Championships (NICC) held on Yuwibara Country in Mackay, Queensland from April 2 to 7, 2025.
The NICC showcases some of the best Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cricketers from across the country, providing the opportunity to celebrate cricket's connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Victoria Women's Indigenous Squad captain Merinda Hale said it's an honour to be leading the Victorian team at the 2025 tournament.
"This year we are looking to perform and grow, both individually and collectively as a team," said Hale.
"We are fresh and ready to go coming out of cricket season in Victoria with some new faces joining us, so I'm excited at the possibilities for our squad."
"No matter the result, we are wanting to come out of the tournament as a connected unit and make memories together. "
