Victoria will see Ashes fever hit Melbourne at the NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test while our national sides will both play India in Melbourne.
The 2025-26 international cricket schedule has been unveiled by Cricket Australia.
Cricket will be everywhere this summer with international matches to be played in 11 cities and 14 venues throughout an action-packed season for Australia's national sport spanning eight months from August 2025 through to March 2026.
Following last year's record-breaking series against India, an historic Men's Ashes Test awaits on Boxing Day. Fans will be eager to see Australia defend the Ashes trophy they have held since the 2017-18 season in a historic battle against England.
In addition, India's men's side returns to Australian shores for a thrilling white-ball series, featuring a Men's T20I match at the MCG on 31 October.
The summer will conclude with a Women's ODI, also against India, to be held at the CitiPower Centre on 1 March 2026.
All three matches are set to showcase some of the most exciting cricket on the international stage, with world-class players and fierce rivalries.
Nick Cummins, Cricket Victoria CEO, said:
"After a huge summer of international cricket, it is quite possible that next season will be even bigger. The Ashes are back, the Indian men's and women's white ball teams are back. With a large population of English and Indian supporters in Melbourne, we are expecting the atmosphere to be electric, with attendance and viewership records to be broken once again.
"Cricket Victoria is also excited about the opportunity to host a Women's ODI at CitiPower Centre, which we hope will be under lights. We're looking to pack out the venue for what should be a memorable moment in the Junction Oval's storied history."
Steve Dimopoulos, Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events said:
"The Boxing Day Test during an Ashes series is the pinnacle of cricket in Australia and we can't wait to see the MCG packed with fans soaking up the atmosphere of one of sport's greatest traditions."
"Major events like the Ashes and games against India play a crucial role in driving our visitor economy, with cricket fans filling our hotels, enjoying Melbourne's world-class hospitality scene and travelling to regional Victoria to see everything the state has to offer."
"Last summer, we saw a record-breaking crowd at the Boxing Day Test - the highest-attended Test match ever - alongside record hotel occupancy, and we expect another huge boost to Victoria's economy this season."
