Victorians still have no detail about the Allan Government's promised review of the mass blackouts which left half a million homes and businesses without power last week.
Energy Minister Lily D'Ambrosio announced the review on Tuesday, a day after the Opposition called for a parliamentary inquiry into one of the worst power outages in Victoria's history.
The Minister promised to release details of the inquiry over the coming days but has so far failed to do so. This includes:
- The terms of reference for the review.
- The time frame for the review.
- Who will conduct the review and sit on the "panel of experts".
Shadow Minister for Energy, Affordability and Security, David Davis, said: "The Minister has provided no details so far because she has none. The review was cooked up on the run to avoid a transparent, public inquiry into the failure of Victoria's energy network.
"This is a sham review by a Government that prefers to work in secret and avoid any public accountability for its failures."
