Victorian Men Announce One-Day Pre-Season Squad for Sydney

The Victorian men's state team have announced a 16-player squad for their final preparation for the upcoming domestic One Day competition, which officially launches on September 23.

Chris Rogers' men will play three 50 over matches against New South Wales at Cricket Central beginning on September 11, with the final two matches taking place on Friday, September 13 and Sunday, September 15.

Victoria welcomes back experienced trio Peter Siddle, Marcus Harris and Peter Handscomb following their winter stints in England's County Championship cricket.

Handscomb will be looking to carry his rich vein of form into this summer, after an outstanding campaign for Leicestershire where the thirty-three-year-old scored 894 runs, including three centuries with an average of 74.5 runs.

Josh Brown will put on the navy blue for the first time since signing with Victoria back in May, with the hard-hitting batsman set to become a fan favourite for his explosive scoring.

Meanwhile, Australian Under-19 World Cup star, Harry Dixon, has also been included in the travelling squad joining the likes of Liam Blackford and Doug Warren, as the next generation of Victorian stars continues to progress through the pathways.

While the games won't be streamed or televised, Cricket Victoria will provide game updates across the week.

Victorian Men's State Squad: Peter Handscomb, Peter Siddle, Jon Merlo, Todd Murphy, Fergus O'Neill, Cam McClure, Harry Dixon, Josh Brown, Tom Rogers, Doug Warren, Mitch Perry, Will Sutherland, Sam Harper, Sam Elliot, Liam Blackford, Marcus Harris.
