Vintage Monaro seized during drug searches

Officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch (SOCB) investigating the trafficking of controlled drugs and money laundering in the metropolitan area have arrested seven men.

Detectives conducted searches of nine premises on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 December, with police seizing 82 cannabis plants, 13 pounds of dried cannabis, $116,000 cash and two vehicles (including a rare vintage Holden Monaro) suspected to be bought with the proceeds of crime.

Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson, officer in charge of SOCB says, "These arrests and searches demonstrate that Serious and Organised Crime Branch officers are determined in their efforts to detect and hold drug traffickers and dealers to account for the misery and harm they bring to our communities.
