The Geographical Names Board (GNB) is seeking community feedback on a Campbelltown City Council proposal to amend the suburb boundaries between Bradbury and Airds.
The boundaries were gazetted in 1988, but the area has since been subdivided and become part of an urban renewal and redevelopment project.
As a result, the official suburb boundaries are bisecting parcels of land. The proposed boundary amendments will rectify the situation.
Residents of Bradbury and Airds are encouraged to view the proposal on the GNB website, where they can also make a submission on the proposed changes.
Written submissions on the proposed changes can also be mailed to: Secretary, Geographical Names Board, 346 Panorama Ave, Bathurst, NSW 2795.
The closing date for submissions is 28 August 2023.
Geographical Names Board Chair Narelle Underwood said:
"It is important that suburb boundaries are easy to identify and make sense to the community.
"We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to provide their feedback on the proposed boundary amendments."
