With Tropical Cyclone Alfred expected to impact South East Queensland in the coming days, government officials have issued a high alert for severe weather conditions.
In response, Humanity First Queensland has swiftly mobilised volunteers to assist the community in preparing for the storm. Over the past two days, 50 volunteers have helped fill and stack more than 1,000 sandbags, loading them onto 40 trucks to aid flood protection efforts.
Humanity First Queensland continues to monitor the situation closely and remains in direct contact with the Logan Mayor, council officials, and MPs. The organisation stands ready to assist wherever needed as the cyclone approaches.
