Edward River Council is calling on the community to have their say, with online voting now open for the 2026 Community Volunteer Awards.

Following a very positive response to nominations, residents are invited to celebrate the dedication and impact of local volunteers by voting for their chosen nominee from Friday 1 May.

The Community Volunteer Awards recognise individuals who generously give their time, skills and leadership to strengthen the Edward River region. With nominations now closed, the program enters its next exciting stage - community‑led voting.

Edward River Council Mayor, Cr Ashley Hall, said the voting phase gives the community a chance to directly recognise the volunteers who make a difference every day.

"Our volunteers are at the heart of a strong, connected community. This is your opportunity to acknowledge their contribution and help decide who will be recognised at this year's awards," Cr Hall said.
