Western Australia's world-class defence organisations are being showcased at the international Land Forces 2021 industry exposition event being held in Brisbane this week.
Land Forces will run between June 1-3, and will be the first premier defence trade show held in Australia since COVID-19.
Defence Industry Minister Paul Papalia is attending the expo along with 22 Western Australian defence organisations, to be hosted on the Defence West stand.
It is the largest contingent of Western Australian defence organisations to exhibit at a Land Forces event, and is part of the State Government's determination to secure more local Defence contracts that will help diversify the WA economy and create jobs.
A number of other high profile Western Australian businesses will be hosting their own stands at the exposition, which saw more than 15,000 attendees in 2018.
One such company, Precision Technic Defence Pty Ltd in O'Connor, specialises in military tactical solutions, and will be showcasing its expertise in delivering integrated soldier systems.
Precision Technic Defence is also a Veteran-led business, employing Western Australians with decades of military experience and international deployments.
The WA Government is pleased to support local businesses at the expo, providing a unique opportunity to promote their businesses to service providers and the armies of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
It provides an opportunity for Defence, industry and Army to engage face-to-face on the planned $55 billion investment in Australia's land defence capability over the next decade.
As stated by Defence Industry Minister Paul Papalia:
"Land Forces is a great platform to showcase our local defence businesses and their capabilities.
"Our Government is extremely proud of Western Australia's defence industry and is pleased to support our local companies in securing opportunities in key defence supply chains.
"It's also great to see Veteran-led Western Australian businesses participating, utilising their years of military experience to further support National Defence, but also providing employment opportunities for our veterans.
"The McGowan Government is committed to supporting the WA Defence sector grow, further diversifying the State's economy and creating more jobs for Western Australians.
