  • Twelve Western Australian innovation companies selected to go to United States
  • Program supports local companies to hone their international marketing

Twelve local innovative companies have been chosen by the Cook Labor Government to enter the United States' critical technology sector through a new unique funding program.

Innovation and the Digital Economy Minister Stephen Dawson said the Government's new Global Growth Accelerator Program (GGAP) will begin in January with a three-month course to prepare the selected businesses for an international market.

Participants will be equipped with the tools, knowledge, and networks to refine their go-to-market strategies and gain access to customers, investors, and partners in both civilian and defence markets in the United States.

The program will conclude with participation at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2025 in Austin, Texas, offering delegates the opportunity to showcase their innovations and capitalise on strategic connections made throughout the program.

Delivered by Invest and Trade WA with support from the Cook Government's New Industries Fund, the GGAP marks the first time the accelerator approach is being piloted to support WA companies to internationalise their operations.
