Roadworks will be halted over the busy holiday period at Wallanbah Road, where damage caused by a landslip is being repaired.
Council contractors have been working to stabilise the bottom end of the road near Tipperary, installing soil nails and mesh, and will pause work this week to avoid any major disruption for road-users over the busy Christmas period.
Major works required will commence from Monday 10 January 2022 for around six to eight weeks. There will be a detour via Waterloo and Bunyah roads during this time causing some minor delays.
The detour will add around 10 minutes to your journey.
Motorists are asked to observe all roadworks signage, directions from road crews, and reduced speed limits, and to travel with caution through the area.
