Wanted Man Charged At Auburn

A man wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants has been charged over alleged robbery and stealing related offences in Sydney's west.

About 2pm today (Wednesday 30 October 2024), police were called to a supermarket on the corner of Harrow Road and Queen Street, Auburn, after reports a man allegedly entered and threatened a staff member with a knife before stealing items.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, officers attended a home on Chiswick Road, South Granville, where they located and arrested the 33-year-old man.

He was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and two counts of aggravated break and enter & commit serious indictable offence- armed.

Five warrants were also executed, and he was charged with eight counts of shoplifting, and two counts of Larceny.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 31 October 2024).
