A man wanted on six outstanding arrest warrants for multiple offences has been charged in the state's north-east at the weekend.
About 10.20pm on Saturday (13 July 2024), police were patrolling Nundle, when they attempted to stop and talk to a man walking along Jenkins Street.
The man ran and police commenced a foot pursuit jumping over several fences before he jumped onto the roof of a home.
The 25-year-old man came down a short time later where he was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station.
Police executed six outstanding arrest warrants for domestic violence, property, weapon, and traffic-related offences.
He was further charged with five offences, including charges for domestic violence incidents at a home in Tamworth earlier that day;
- Break and enter do indictable offence (not steal/damage)
- Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic)
- Larceny
- Enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, and
- Possess housebreaking implements.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Tamworth Local Court yesterday (Sunday 14 July 2024), where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Monday 22 July 2024.
