The Certificate of Analysis 368356 (below) issued by Environmental Services Pty Limited sets out the results of the water sample taken at Warialda which were received on 6 December 2024.

Council wishes to be transparent in this matter and further provides the Certificate of Analysis 366918 (below) issued by Environmental Services Pty Limited which sets out the results of the first water sample taken at Warialda which were received on 21 November 2024. This is the water sample which has been deemed to have been corrupted, and which cannot be relied upon. Please note that this test sample was taken from a water supply line at the Warialda SES Depot on Stephen Street. As part of the sample a 'Field Blank' (366918-3) tube was filled with distilled water and this water was moved from one container to another at the site of sampling. The purpose of testing distilled water is to detect contamination that may have occurred as part of the sampling process. The testing procedure suggests contamination can occur from things as trivial as the sampler wearing clothes washed less than six times since new. Given the distilled water tested with very similar levels of contamination to tests 366918-1 and 366918-2 (from Warialda SES Depot), the whole test was deemed corrupted, likely from testing contamination. In consultation with NSW Health, a second set of tests were arranged and results of this are set out in Certificate of Analysis 368356 (below).
