Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Warwick this morning, Monday 22 April 2024.
About 8am, a white Hyundai i30 hatchback, collided with a Transperth bus on Warwick Road, approximately 20 metres west of Lloyd Drive. After the crash the Hyundai i30 caught on fire.
The 50-year-old female driver of the Hyundai sustained critical injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital where she died a short time later.
Three dogs were occupants of the Hyundai i30. One died at the scene and the other two dogs were located by Rangers after running from the scene.
The 48-year-old female driver of the bus and the passengers onboard were not injured.
