- Businesses, not-for-profits, local governments and community groups to share in almost $255,000 of WasteSorted Community Education Grants
- Funding to help 19 entities minimise waste and improve recycling throughout WA
- Adds to $11 million in WasteSorted grants distributed by Cook Labor Government since 2017
The Cook Labor Government is continuing to help communities make landfill the last resort with 19 businesses, not-for-profits, local governments, and community groups to share in almost $255,000 of WasteSorted Community Education Grants.
These grants provide funding to improve waste behaviour in ways that support the aims of the State's Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030.
Among the projects to receive funding through this latest grant round include a variety of waste workshops in regional locations, an educational card game on waste sorting, and an online educational package for kids.
Since 2017, the State Government has provided $11 million in WasteSorted grants for projects that improve the recovery and reuse of materials.
