The bores that supply water to Bredbo township have been turned off due to poor raw water quality resulting from high rainfall events in the area.
With the quality of the raw water in the bores failing to improve, Council has now begun carting water to Bredbo.
Residents should not notice any change in the quality of the water supplied and Council has increased water quality monitoring.
Council is asking residents to reduce any unnecessary outdoor water use such as the watering of gardens and to report any broken water mains promptly.
