Police have charged a man with multiple offences after uncovering firearms, drugs, and stolen property from a Mt Lofty address on February 27.
At approximately 9am, officers from the Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad arrived at a North Street address to execute a search warrant.
It's alleged when they arrived the man fled the scene with officers engaging in a short foot chase before he was apprehended near a school on Adams Street.
A search of the property uncovered two .22 pistols, approximately 728 grams of methamphetamine, cash and stolen property including jewellery and a trailer.
A 35-year-old Mt Lofty man has been charged with 12 offences including two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs, and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs schedule 1 drug quantity of or exceeding schedule 4, unlawful possession of weapons, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of an offence, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, offence to buy or possess S4 or S8 medicines or hazardous poisons, authority required to possess explosives, obstruct police, trespass and wilful damage.
He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.

The operation is sending a clear message about the importance of proper firearm storage and the role licenced firearm owners play in ensuring community safety. Operation Whiskey Firestorm is also focusing on a coordinated statewide response to the investigation, prevention and disruption activities involving illicit firearms offences and violent firearm related offending.
This operation comes in response to 2024 statistics which saw 1,055 firearm licenses revoked, and over 3,290 offences involving firearms, including serious offences such as attempted murder, assault, robbery and unlawful entry.
The QPS will be conducting extensive audits, coordinating regional operations, and working with licensed firearm owners to ensure they meet safety and ownership rules and regulations.
