Officers from Taskforce Maxima have allegedly seized a large quantity of weapons and drugs from a Biggera Waters address last weekend.
On Saturday April 5, police executed a search warrant at a Longboat Drive residence and allegedly located 20 weapons, including four firearms, two tasers, a large quantity of firearm ammunition and various bladed weapons such as batons, knuckledusters, mace and knives.
It will be further alleged $15,000 cash, a quantity of illegal and prescription drugs, steroids and drug paraphernalia were also seized during the investigation.
A 52-year-old Biggera Waters man was arrested and charged with 28 drug and weapons offences.
He is due before Southport Magistrates Court on May 9.
Detective Acting Inspector Adrian Sala from Taskforce Maxima said police were committed to removing dangerous weapons and drugs from the streets.
"Illegal firearms and illicit drugs have no place in our community, and we will continue to target offenders and do everything we can to keep the community safe.
"We urge anyone who has information about these types of offences to contact police."
