Toowoomba Region artist Sharon Forbes will provide a glimpse into the allure of contemporary handcrafted jewellery in an exhibition featuring her works at Crows Nest Gallery from October 16 to November 10, 2024.
Titled Artisan Jewels, the exhibition celebrates contemporary handcrafted jewellery as a form of artistic expression.
Sharon repurposes precious metals, stones and Australian timbers into unique designs that transcend mere adornment to become wearable art.
Through her dedication to traditional techniques and innovative design, the inherent beauty of each material is honoured and infused with new life and meaning.
From delicate filigree to bold statement pieces, her works embody the marriage of craftsmanship and creativity, inviting the viewer to embark on a journey of discovery and self-expression.
The exhibition's Meet the Artist event will be held from 11am to 1pm on Sunday, October 20.
