Motorsport fans, start your engines! The legendary race-winning Monster Energy Tickford Racing Ford Mustang is up for grabs at Lloyds Auctions this weekend and it could be yours! There's just one catch, it's going to be driven by Cam Waters at 260km/h for the next 12 months.
"Imagine watching the race car that you own win whilst you are standing in the pits watching as the owner of the car. That would be a once in a lifetime experience, I would imagine," said Mr. Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer for Lloyds Auctions.
"We have seen supercars almost double in value overnight by winning a major race such as Sandown or Bathurst, so who knows this could be an incredible investment opportunity, separate from the fact you get to experience the thrill of Supercars as an owner whilst its racing," continued Mr. Hames.
With a history of victories already under its belt, this beast is ready to race into the future as it powers on into the 2025 Supercars Championship.
This season alone, the Mustang has racked up an impressive four major race wins, seven podium finishes, and six pole positions. Currently sitting strong in 4th place in the 2024 Supercars Championship, this machine is not just a car; it's a piece of racing history in the making!
"The team and I have made some great achievements and memories to date with this supercar so far and we very much look forward to welcoming the new owner into the team to create more memories with us and experience the supercars team over the next 12 months," said Mr. Cam Waters, V8 Supercar driver for Tickford Racing.
"We're looking forward to meeting the new owner and spending the next 12 months with them and delivering them the supercar upon the completion of the 2025 Supercars Championship. We hope that the custodian is as passionate about motorsports as we are and we hope that they enjoy it just as much as we have loved competing in it this year, and who knows they could even be a part of Bathurst's winning legacy or potentially even a championship win in 2025," Mr. Waters continued.
The Chassis TR 30 made its race debut at the Australian Grand Prix early this year, and is another chassis built by Tickford Racing directly to Mustang specification. Waters is the only driver to race the car to date, and figures to remain the only full-time driver of TR 30.
At the end of the 2025 season, the car will be restored to a specification determined between the buyer and race team, allowing the future owner to take it to the track almost immediately or put it aside as part of a collection.
The Supercar will go under the hammer this Sunday 17th November from 6pm.
