GARDEN OPEN

The new Indigenous Interpretative Garden next to the Central Goldfields Art Gallery is officially open for all to enjoy.

Named garingilang gatjin wii, meaning 'garden of water and fire' in Dja Dja Wurrung language, the garden was culturally activated by local elders and performers in a ceremony yesterday.

Jointly funded by the Victorian Government and Council, the garden is a public space inviting the whole community to come together in a spirit of reconciliation to understand and celebrate Dja Dja Wurrung Culture.

FEEDING ENERGY BREAKTHROUGH

The award-winning Energy Breakthrough event is operated by a small team of staff and an army of fantastic volunteers - plus a host of community groups providing food and drink.

Expressions of Interest are now open for community groups to supply catering, helping our premier community event and generating much needed fundraising for their local groups and clubs.
