Everyone is invited to celebrate Australia Day on Sunday 26 January at free events across our Shire. There are celebrations at Bealiba, Carisbrook, Daisy Hill, Dunolly, and Talbot.
A free breakfast and family fun event will begin at 8.30am at the Station Domain, Maryborough.
From 9.15am official proceedings commence, including a Citizenship Ceremony to welcome our six new residents who are becoming Australian Citizens. We will then announce our Australia Day Award winners - including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Award of the Year.
Medallions will be presented to new babies born during 2024, and books will be presented to all local children commencing their first year of kindergarten in 2025.
