Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in West Coolup, south-west of Pinjarra, yesterday, Friday 29 December 2023.
About 10:45pm, the rider of a Yamaha motorcycle appears to have been stopped in the emergency lane of the northbound lanes of Forrest Highway, about 200m south of the intersection with Hill Road. At the same time, a white Toyota LandCruiser was being driven north on the same section of the highway. A crash involving the two vehicles occurred in the emergency lane.
The rider of the motorcycle – a 20-year-old man – died at the scene.
Anyone with information regarding this crash, or who saw the white Toyota LandCruiser or Yamaha motorcycle being driven/ridden in the time leading up to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
