Western Australia Covid update as at 14 December

WA Health has updated its list of exposure sites after three truck drivers tested positive to COVID-19, after having spent time in WA last week.

Under the Transport, Freight and Logistics Directions (No 8) (www.wa.gov.au), drivers must have received a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to entering WA, and undertake a rapid antigen test at the WA border.

The first two drivers, who are both in their 30s, were travelling together and are fully vaccinated. They returned negative rapid antigen tests at the border prior to entry to WA on 9 December.

When transiting through SA on return to NSW, their PCR tests undertaken on 12 December returned a positive COVID-19 result. Exposure sites have been identified in WA, with the truck drivers checking in at locations using SafeWA.

Anyone who visited the sites listed below at the specified times and dates must get tested immediately and isolate until you receive a negative result, unless directly advised otherwise by the Department of Health.
