- Cook Government backsagrifood innovation events to run alongside AgriFutures evokeAG.2024
- The Asia-Pacific region's premier technology event comes to WA in February
Western Australia will host a packed schedule of agrifood tech innovation side events this February to support AgriFutures evokeAG.2024.
The Cook Government today announced almost $70,000 towards a range of complementary side events focused on promoting agrifood tech innovation, sustainability as well as food security and premium food and beverages.
The independent events will showcase WA products, services, innovations and regional strengths, as well as explore global agrifood and beverage opportunities and supply chain challenges.
evokeAG.2024 is partnering with the Cook Government to host the two-day event on the 20and 21February, themed 'Exceptional Edge', which attracts more than 1,600 delegates from 20countries.
Side events announced include a Darling Range farm visit focused on sustainable management of a Wagyu herd, from genetics to plate, to deliver a premium beef product.
Agtech tours for small delegations will cover sensor production and manufacturing, carbon and emissions calculations, and soil carbon measurement technologies at AxisTech premises in Osborne Park.
In the South West, a two-day event will bring together drought innovators and knowledge brokers to look at water management in agriculture and explore cutting-edge technologies such as remote sensing, soil moisture monitoring and AI-driven support systems.
The For Food's Sake summit at Murdoch University will look at the technologies, research, trends and innovations that will shape the future of food in Australia and abroad.
