Three people have been charged with serious drug offences after an investigation by Western District police.
Following an investigation, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August police attended and searched five properties. At three of the houses, Woodville South, Beverly and Smithfield Plains, police located cannabis being grown hydroponically. Equipment used in connection with possessing and cultivating cannabis was found at all properties.
As a result of the searches 601 cannabis plants and approximately 38 kilograms of dried cannabis were located and seized, along with hundreds of items used to grow cannabis.
A 28-year-old New Port man was arrested and charged with two counts of traffic in large commercial quantity, cultivate large commercial quantity of controlled plant, possess prescribed equipment, of abstract or divert electricity. CO2100025280
A 49-year-old Rosewater man was arrested and charged with traffic in large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, cultivate large commercial quantity of a controlled plant, possess prescribed equipment, abstract or divert electricity. CO2100025278

All three men were refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Monday 23 August.
