During the public exhibition of the draft EIS, the department received over 8,400 submissions. This feedback has been taken into consideration, and each issue raised in these submissions has been addressed in the final EIS.
Five changes have been made from the preliminary flight paths released in June last year, and have been added in the online Aircraft Overflight Noise Tool for communities to visualise.
- This includes minor refinements to two flight paths and the removal of a flight path.
- This is in addition to the two flight path changes that have already been announced, which were subject to further consultation in August this year.
The Minister for the Environment and Water will now consider the EIS and provide advice for approval of the preliminary flight paths, and determine if any conditions should be applied.
