Western Sydney University has hosted the Business 20 (B20) – the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community – as part of a special international event held on Tuesday, 2 August.
B20 representatives came together with Australian business community leaders to discuss how Indonesia and Australia can leverage their bilateral economic partnership to advance the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Discussion focused on Global Value Chains and Green Finance and the key role of business in leading the sustainability agenda.

- H.E. Dr Siswo Pramono, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Australia
- Shinta W. Kamdani, B20 Indonesia Chair
- Dr Guy Debelle, Chief Financial Officer, Fortescue Future Industries
- Louise McGrath, GBC Representative and Head of Industry Development and Policy at AI Group
- Arif P. Rachmat, Chair of the B20 Trade and Investment Task Force
- Dharma Djojonegoro, Deputy Chair of the B20 Trade and Investment Task Force.
As part of the event, the University and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will see the two organisations partner on a range of SDG-focused education and training initiatives in the future.
Western Sydney University Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Barney Glover AO said the valuable discussion between all the participants focused on advancing inclusive, resilient and collaborative global economic growth.
