WFI Insurance donates $250,000 to support flood stricken farmers in Western Queensland
WFI Insurance is donating $250,000 to Rural Aid to bolster critical relief efforts now underway for farming communities impacted by catastrophic flooding in Western Queensland.
The severely affected region has seen flooding encompass entire communities including the townships of Thargomindah, Adavale and Jundah, with flood warnings estimated to span an area double the size of Victoria.
CEO CGU & WFI Insurance Jarrod Hill said, "The scale of this disaster is devastating for so many farming communities, and the impact on people is heartbreaking. Our immediate focus is on working with Rural Aid to help prevent further loss for farmers through supporting their on-the-ground efforts, such as delivering feed to stranded livestock.

Rural Aid CEO John Warlters said, "Through the generous support of WFI Insurance, we will be able to provide additional and immediate aid to impacted farmers. This is still an emergency response, and it's an important time for farmers to know we have their back and are standing with them."
Mr Hill said, "We know this is a difficult time, our WFI Regional Sales Managers and Authorised Representatives are proactively reaching out to our customers to help expediate claim lodgements and arrange immediate support including temporary accommodation, hardship and emergency financial assistance."
